WATCH: Avs explode for four more goals in the second period of Game 1

This is insane!
We knew the Colorado Avalanche and Edmonton Oiler series was going to be crazy, but did you think it’d be this wild?!
After Cale Makar scored a controversial goal at the very end of the first period to put the Avs ahead 3-2, the goals didn’t stop coming in the second period.
First it was Nazem Kadri to put the Avalanche up 4-2. Then it was Mikko Rantanen to give them a 5-3 lead after the Oilers cut it to a one goal game. JT Compher got his second of the game to put Colorado up 6-3 and Andrew Cogliano added one to make it 7-3.
