The Colorado Avalanche and Detroit Red Wings might have the greatest rivalry in NHL history.

The two teams absolutely hated each other in the late 1990s and early 2000s, with plenty of blood spilled, epic brawls, goalie fights and darn good hockey games.

On Thursday, ESPN released a trailer about an upcoming E:60 documentary on the rivalry that will be must-see television. It features a lot of the big names involved, including Joe Sakic, Peter Forsberg, Patrick Roy, Adam Foote, Mike Ricci and Marc Crawford.

The trailer originally aired on an ESPN+ hockey show, but luckily a Twitter user was able to grab it for the whole world to see. Check it out below:

The documentary, titled “Unrivaled: Red Wings v. Avalanche,” doesn’t have an official release date, but some Twitter sleuthing reveals it should be coming out in June on ESPN during the Stanley Cup Finals.

This will be must-watch television, and the only thing that would make it better is if the 2022 Avs are vying for the Stanley Cup at the same time. They currently lead the Blues 3-2 in their Round 2 series, with Game 6 later tonight in St. Louis.
