It’s about time.
After a long and frustrating wait, the NHL finally revealed the schedule for the Colorado Avalanche and St. Louis Blues Round 2 playoff series.
The Avs swept the Predators last Monday and the Blues took care of the Wild on Thursday, but the league waited until late Sunday night to announce the schedule for the next round after all of Round 1 finished up. Here it is:
Game 1: Tuesday, May 17, 7:30 p.m. St. Louis at Colorado (TNT)
Game 2: Thursday, May 19, 7:30 p.m. St. Louis at Colorado (TNT)
Game 3: Saturday, May 21, 6:00 p.m. Colorado at St. Louis (TNT)
Game 4: Monday, May 23, 7:30 p.m. Colorado at St. Louis (TNT)
Game 5: Wednesday, May 25, TBD St. Louis at Colorado (TBD)
Game 6: Friday, May 27, TBD Colorado at St. Louis (TBD)
Game 7: Sunday, May 29, TBD St. Louis at Colorado (TBD)
Colorado swept the Blues last year in the first-round and has never lost a playoff series to St. Louis. They also beat them in the 2001 Western Conference Finals (five games), on their way to hoisting the Stanley Cup.
This will be a big hurdle for the Avs, as they’ve lost in Round 2 each of the last three seasons. The road to revenge finally begins on Tuesday night at Ball Arena!
