On Friday, the Broncos finished their cross-country search for a new head coach. They traveled to Dallas, Boston, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and parts in between, interviewing 10 candidates to replace Vic Fangio.
That led to a lot of speculation over the weekend. Who was the frontrunner? Who was the dark horse? Who was still in the mix? Who was out?
On Monday, some clarity was provided. The Broncos have narrowed the field to three finalists.

The next steps are still to be determined. Quinn’s Cowboys and and Hackett’s Packers are out of the playoffs, so they’re available for a second interview if the Broncos want to go that route. O’Connell’s Rams, however, are still in play, prepping for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game against the 49ers.
Who will the Broncos 18th head coach be? The list is now down to three.
