Broncos will bring in free agent tackles for visits

May 5, 2021, 10:41 AM

With the news that right tackle Ja’Wuan James has torn his Achilles and is out for the season, the Denver Broncos are wasting no time to find his replacement.

According to 9News reporter Mike Klis, the Broncos are visiting next week with Titans offensive tackle Dennis Kelly and former Bears offensive tackle Bobby Massie.

Kelly started 16 games at right tackle with the Titans last season and has played in 108 career games with both the Titans and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Chicago declined the option on Massie, which made him a free agent and saved the team over $5 million in cap space. Massie played every snap for the first seven games of the 2020 season before suffering a season-ending knee injury in the eighth game.

Free agent Demar Dotson started eight games with the Broncos last season and could now be an option at right tackle.

The only player currently on the Broncos roster to have started a game at right tackle is Calvin Anderson, who was tendered as an exclusive rights free agent this offseason.
