Denver also receives forward Gary Clark from the Magic, Moore reports, while shipping away guards Gary Harris and R.J. Hampton, along with a first-round pick.
The move comes on the heels not only of a trade earlier Thursday — wherein Denver acquired former fan favorite JaVale McGee from the Cleveland Cavaliers — but also reports they had been linked to Gordon earlier this week.
Since coming to Denver via a draft day trade with the Chicago Bulls, Harris had spent his entire seven-year NBA career with the Nuggets before Thursday’s trade. In 387 total games, Harris averaged 29.1 minutes a night, 12.0 points, 2.1 assists and 2.6 rebounds.
Denver also departs with the highly touted rookie R.J. Hampton, whom the team acquired in a draft-day trade from the Milwaukee Bucks. In 25 games this season, Hampton averaged 2.6 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game.
