Broncos Country appears not on board with idea of Carson Wentz at QB

While it’s reportedly imminent Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz will be on his way out of Philadelphia in the coming days, many Broncos fans appear not on board with the idea of him landing in Denver.
ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported Saturday that the Eagles are expected to trade Wentz, and that a deal could happen as early as this coming week.
But, when put to Broncos Country on Twitter whether they’d like to see Wentz in the orange and blue, most replied with a, “Thanks, but no thanks.”
While most replied with just a “no,” some also suggested the Broncos focus more on acquiring disgruntled Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.
DEN needs to be laser focused on Deshaun Watson. Without an elite QB now, there is little hope to compete with Mahomes and Herbert in the AFC West. Watson is worth the cost!

Either go big for Watson or get fitzpatrick and give Lock one more year. That way he’s got 2 years in the same offense and the young wr core is more developed with training camp/otas

I’ll pass, but again if the price isn’t stupid high, get Watson. Don’t mortgage the future for a QB and have little draft capital. Houston wants draft capital because they have none. They want defense because they know it’s a need.

Broncos Country, however, is not alone in being offput by the idea of Wentz in Denver, as 104.3 The Fan Insider Cecil Lammey said this week he doesn’t believe the team has the time to take on a “reclamation project.”
“You don’t have the time to take on someone else’s project, to fix him, when you have your own young quarterback that needs plenty of work as well,” Lammey said.
