Nolan Arenado’s days with the Colorado Rockies may be numbered.
A report from The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal says the club and the St. Louis Cardinals are in discussions about a trade for the five-time All-Star third baseman.
Arenado signed an eight-year, $260 million deal with the Rockies in 2019, though the premiere third base talent can opt out of the contract after the 2021 season, per Spotrac.com.
The four-time Silver Slugger has won eight consecutive Gold Gloves — each season of his career. However, the soon-to-be 30-year-old had his lowest Wins Above Replacement in 2020 at 1.6.
