DENVER — Bonneville Denver announced today that James Merilatt has been appointed Digital Sports Editor for 1043TheFan.com, effective April 15, 2019. In the role, Merilatt will be charged with developing new initiatives and overseeing all sports content on 1043TheFan.com and across Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan’s multiple digital platforms.

Merilatt joins Bonneville Denver after spending the past three years with Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, most recently serving as director of business operations for the Colorado Mammoth. Previously, he founded Mile High Sports, where he spent more than 15 years overseeing all aspects of the company’s website, magazine, and radio station. Merilatt also worked as publications coordinator for the Denver Broncos.

“James is the perfect person to help create a new, expanded vision for 1043TheFan.com as a standalone platform,” said 104.3 The Fan program director Raj Sharan. “It’s only natural that Denver’s biggest sports brand would become the region’s primary online source for insight and analysis on the Broncos, Rockies, Nuggets, Avalanche, and other Denver sports stories.”

In addition to managing and creating material for 1043TheFan.com, Merilatt will be heard regularly across Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan’s on-air programming to provide insight and promote content available at 1043TheFan.com.
