DMac says he was encouraged today, and Tom Nalen says Elway doesn’t have time to groom a young QB. John Elway & Joe Flacco are excited about Flacco being a perfect fit in Denver. Also, breaking news on Tyreek Hill’s new battery investigation & Charles M Pratt’s review of the Broncos ownership dispute. Nikola Jokic lights up the Dallas Mavericks in the final seconds at Pepsi Center, and DMac & Tom laugh at Nikola’s postgame comments. Tom thinks Luka Doncic might have done something to his hand, and the Nuggets can learn from this game. DMac is ready for some John Elway jokes, and most of them fall flat at his presser.
We hear from Joe Flacco as he’s introduced as a Denver Broncos QB officially for the first time. DMac says Flacco was fine, and got a few laughs. The Broncos sign Jeff Heuerman to a 2-year deal, and DMac agrees with Tom Nalen that contract is a reflection on the market. Also, we hear audio from Ja’Wuan James on what he’s excited about, including playing for Mike Muchak.
Tom Nalen talks about signing guys late, and how to tell if athletes are asking for too much money. Shaq Barrett is headed to Tampa Bay for one year and $5 million, and DMac says the Broncos don’t believe Matt Paradis can stay healthy.
Tom Nalen says it’s a tough market in Colorado, and the guys talk about the adjustment for players to the Colorado time zone. Also, Nalen wonders if any of the Broncos coaches will have a life in 2019.
DMac talks about the Bowlen trust being investigated, and why it’s a huge win for Bill Bowlen. DMac says the story will be continued, and things will keep going. Tom Nalen tells DMac he wants to be a part of the Bowlen trust.
Nikola Jokic sinks the game-winner against the Mavericks at Pepsi Center, and DMac wraps up his reaction to the breaking news regarding the Bowlen trust & ownership situation.
