Analysis: The Fan reacts to the Broncos 2nd straight signature win

The Denver Broncos pull off a second signature win in a row, topping the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-17 on Sunday. Here’s how the 104.3 The Fan on-air staff saw the game:
DMac (“The Drive”):
Streaks are hard things to maintain. The Denver Broncos found themselves facing a team for the third straight week on a five-plus-game winning streak. It was the first time that happened in 42 years.
In addition, the Broncos have had the toughest schedule in the NFL. The Los Angeles Chargers? Thirty-first. The Pittsburgh Steelers? Twenty-sixth. So, it’s not like the Broncos have been outclassed this year, aside from the New York Jets game.
The Steelers has many chances to stretch its lead, but every time it felt like things were going to fall apart big plays happened. Will Parks forcing the fumble. Chris Harris Jr. with the pick. Justin Simmons with the blocked field goal. Bradley Roby with the forced fumble.
It was, basically, a perfect game despite giving up the 97-yard touchdown pass.
Basically perfect.
Phillip Lindsay becomes the first back to go for 100 yards against the Steelers. Emmanuel Sanders gets some revenge and touchdown choreography credit. Case Keenum takes a couple of sacks but does not turn the ball over.
It set up a perfect scenario for a Mile High upset.
Then, with the Steelers driving, looking as if tying the game would be simple, for the second week in a row, an all-time quarterback makes a rookie mistake. Shelby Harris makes the Broncos plus four on the day, and Vance Joseph guarantees himself employment for another year.
Streaks always end. The Broncos crush streakers.
Mike Evans (“Schlereth and Evans”):
Feel free to scream it from the Rocky Mountaintops: The Broncos are legitimate playoff contenders after an opportunistic win.
Credit to the defense. They bent and bent and bent but never broke, thanks to timely turnovers.

Zach Bye (“Stokle y and Zach”):
The Denver Broncos are where many thought they would not be. Could not be. Of course not.
Where is that? Riding a winning streak and back in the AFC playoff picture.
Knocking off the 7-2-1 Steelers the week after upsetting a 7-2 Chargers team marks the best two week stretch for the Broncos since the Super Bowl 50 season.
The Broncos defense time and again made big plays that kept the Steelers out of the end zone in classic ‘bend but don’t break’ fashion.
And don’t look now, but after throwing at least one interception in the first eight games of the season, Case Keenum now has three consecutive pick-free games. Sunday also marked Keenum’s first game with multiple touchdown passes and no interceptions. He and this offense are starting to figure it out — just in time for the home stretch, when it matters most.
