The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO!!! Adam Schefter joins the show to talk about the Patriots landing Josh Gordon, and DMac asks Adam to break down to details of the deal. Troy Renck of Denver 7 joins the show to talk about the change in philosophy, and if Denver can get by with a ‘bend but don’t break’ mentality.
Big Al tells DMac all the Broncos need is hope, and all he asked for was a win in any way possible. Al says Jon Gruden coming back is new to every franchise, and explains ‘the thing’ about Denver playing Cover-3 and giving up the flats.
Adam Schefter joins the show to talk about the Patriots landing Josh Gordon, and DMac asks Adam to break down to details of the deal. Schefter notes how impressive RB Phillip Lindsay has been, and DMac wonders if Antonio Brown was hinting at a trade request after the Steelers game yesterday. In the Big 3, DMac wonders if Vance Joseph was throwing Joe Woods under the bus after the Raiders game, and Big Al points out Phillip Lindsay is currently the NFL’s third-leading rusher. Also, the guys can’t stop laughing about NFL kickers & their Week 2 blunders.
The guys pass out game balls following the Raiders game, and Big Al notes how well the O-Line played after losing Jared Veldheer. DMac talks about the crucial plays Tim Patrick was making, and mentions that Brandon McManus was ‘nails.’
In Football @ 4, the fellas talk about Case Keenum’s QB draw, and Al breaks down Football 101 for DMac. Also, Al & DMac break down the importance of Denver’s third corner position, and check in on the progress with Adam ‘PacMan’ Jones & Tramaine Brock at the position.
DMac compares Trevor Siemian’s stats through the first two games of 2017, and Big Al says Case Keenum keeps giving Denver a chance to win & nobody understands how hard it is to get a win in the NFL.
DMac asks Big Al if Case Keenum can lead the team to a championship, and Al points out that most of Demaryius Thomas’ targets need to go to Emmanuel Sanders. Al wants more credit given to the Broncos O-Line, and DMac wants to know what else there is to say.
Troy Renck of Denver 7 joins the show to talk about the change in philosophy, and if Denver can get by with a ‘bend but don’t break’ mentality. Troy says it comes down to limiting opposing teams to field goals instead of touchdowns, and DMac asks Troy if Vance Joseph needs more out of Joe Woods. Listen to the interview HERE!!!
Big Al defends Case Keenum, and DMac plays some audio from VJ on if Phillip Lindsay will ever be considered a starter here in Denver. DMac says when Devontae Booker is in the game, it’s obviously a passing situation.
DMac breaks down the King Soopers Fan Pick ‘Em, and says Cecil & Pritch must face the wrath of the Shame Game. Big Al reveals his pick ‘em strategy, and DMac takes calls on DT’s drops & Denver’s chances against Baltimore.
The guys talk about Marquette King’s videos on social media, and asks Al if King went too far. Al says there is a different standard players are held to when they play in Denver, and King should show some more class.
