The Drive with DMac & Chad Brown LIVE IN STUDIO! The fire alarm has been pulled & DMac explains why Aqib Talib will get lit up this year & why Andy Janovich is irrelevant.
Chad & DMac talk about the Broncos special teams, as well as Denver’s O-Line. DMac gauges the Rockies’ confidence right now, and points out critical matchups on the remaining schedule. Also, DMac gets Chad’s thoughts on the MLB All-Star game. DMac lays out three simple steps to improve the MLB All-Star game, and the guys decide if Jurrell Casey should be fined for raising a fist during the National Anthem. The boys dive into MLB pitcher Josh Hader’s insensitive tweets, and why he is now required to take sensitivity training. DMac says Hader needs to think before he tweets next time.
The guys talk about Von Miller’s speeding ticket, and DMac says the cop should have taken it easy on Miller considering the road he was on. Chad says Miller was breaking the law, and can’t cut any corners. Chad & DMac talk about ‘Chase Keesum’ becoming ‘Case Keenum’ again in Denver. We compare the weapons Kirk Cousins has at his disposal in Minnesota to Keenum’s new options at Dove Valley. The boys debate how hard the life of a professional athlete is, and how much hard work is required. The term ‘gym rat’ is put under a microscope, and Chad mentions some ways the term could be considered insulting. DMac tells Chad he would rather have a Tight End on the field instead of Andy Janovich. DMac & Chad talk about Denver Nuggets draft pick Michael Porter Jr.’s second back surgery, and if it hurts his chances of playing at all in the 2018 season. DMac defends Brock Olivo & throws Vance Joseph under the bus regarding Isaiah McKenzie, and Chad agrees there never should have been a QB battle in training camp.
Chad & DMac say Aqib Talib’s comments need to be taken with a grain of salt, and we hear audio from Case Keenum on his big ESPYS moment when the Vikings beat the Saints in the playoffs last year. Also, Chad asks DMac about the Broncos O-Line & young corners, and the Broncos biggest schedule opportunities are decided. DMac talks with Chad about the Manny Machado trade being finalized, and Charlie Blackmon’s comments on struggling at Coors Field. DMac is done with umpires behind home plate in the MLB, and tells Chad about the ball & strike technology available in the majors. DMac talks about what a great man Jim Kelly was, and we hear audio from John Elway at the ESPYS honoring Kelly alongside Dan Marino before he receives his ‘Jimmy V’ award.
