The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! We hear VJ’s injury update from a cold Dove Valley, and have to decide if the Broncos are re-tooling, rebuilding or rebooting. Also, when it’s time to simply move on from VJ, how to win in the NFL without a QB and why Al told VJ this Broncos head coaching gig was the worst job in the NFL to take. Also, how to keep doing the right thing for the organization, and the Holiday Shame Game featuring King Soopers chestnuts roasting on an open fire.
The guys talk about Roger Goodell’s new contract, and Big Al says he doesn’t mind Goodell getting paid what the average QB1 in the NFL gets paid. We hear VJ’s injury update from a cold Dove Valley, and have to decide if the Broncos are re-tooling, rebuilding or rebooting. Al says there is nothing like the smell of the grass when you step out on the field, and DMac explains why tiger is not his guy. Also, how Shaq Barrett & Shane Ray have stepped up in DeMarcus Ware’s absence.
Big Al discusses his time in Cincinnati, and how he went from rags to riches. DMac mentions CJ Anderson’s time in Denver dwindling to an end, and Al is ready to move on from guys that have not shown improvement through the year. The guys mention Champ Bailey’s long career, and Al mentions the one guy the Broncos do not have on this rebellious team. Big Al says you’ve got to know when some guys don’t have ‘it’ and tries to figure out why Devontae Booker is the Broncos ‘guy.’ Also, when it’s time to simply move on from VJ, how to win in the NFL without a QB and why Al told VJ this Broncos head coaching gig was the worst job in the NFL to take.
Big Al is ready to shed $40 million of payroll and get rid of DT, and says it’s a great year to draft an offensive lineman. Al thinks Denver should start a rotation at tackle, and wonders why we are obsessed with making Devontae Booker ‘the guy.’ Al tells VJ this Broncos head coaching position is the worst job to take, and decides when it should be time to move on from VJ. Also, how to keep doing the right thing for the organization, and the Holiday Shame Game featuring King Soopers chestnuts roasting on an open fire.
