The Drive with Big AL & DMac LIVE in studio! Radio voice of the Cincinnati Bengals Dan Hoard joins the show to tell Big Al & DMac Cincy fans are upset because the Bengals were undefeated at this time only two short years ago. Fan Insider Cecil Lammey joins the show to say the Patriots may have figured something out against Brock Osweiler, and the Bengals may follow suit & avoid blitzing him. Cecil tells Al & DMac he wonders if Paxton Lynch truly understands the opportunity sitting in front of him.
Dmac says maybe the Broncos folded the tent already, and guys who make a lot of money will often-times make the right decisions with the football. In the Big 3 @ 3:30, Big Al talks about how bizarre it is that Tyrod Taylor has been benched, and DMac finds out where Alfred would go if he took five weeks off to clear his mind like Ezekiel Elliott is about to do. Also, Al asks DMac if he has any interest in the Celtics game. Radio voice of the Cincinnati Bengals Dan Hoard joins the show to tell Big Al & DMac Cincy fans are upset because the Bengals were undefeated at this time only two short years ago. Hoard talks about Bengals owner Mike Brown meeting with Marvin Lewis to break down film, and tells the listeners to keep in mind what the Bengals were before Marvin Lewis got there. Hoard says Cincy is still holding out hope because of the nucleus of talent, but the offensive line must improve. Also, Marvin Lewis’ job is very much on the line since the Bengals did not extend his deal. Listen to the interview HERE!
Big Al wants to know if Paxton Lynch was this way at Memphis, and DMac notes that Lynch has been getting more throwing reps with Brock hurt. Big Al can’t help but notice all these young QBs doing their thing while Paxton sits, and DMac pops open the draft book to help Al decide what QBs would fit well in Denver, including Baker Mayfield. Joel Klatt thinks the world of Sam Darnold & says Baker Mayfield reminds him of John Elway. Big Al agrees, and notes the ‘Brett Favre flavor’ about Baker. Brock has a hurt shoulder, and Paxton is getting more reps. DMac asks Al what kind of X-factors to be aware of on Sunday, and the guys search for a way to be optimistic about the future.
Al & DMac take calls on if it’s a lost season for the Broncos, and if blame should be placed on coaching, the front office, or the QB. Big Al says you can’t load a new house with crap furniture, and DMac was right about picking a QB in training camp & sticking with them. Al asks DMac if he’s been watching Ryan Ramczyk, and says he’s taking Drew Brees if given the chance. DMac says he’s done coming into the season with no plan, and VJ will be lucky to survive this. Fan Insider Cecil Lammey joins the show to say the Patriots may have figured something out against Brock Osweiler, and the Bengals may follow suit & avoid blitzing him.
