Charlie talks to Drew about the converse curvature of the ball, and how a stint of interleague play can be tough on the hitters. Charlie says the trip to Miami isn’t easy, and why it’s important to have a short memory. Charlie knows the emotions stick around longer when looking back at close losses, and little plays that made the difference between a win & a loss stick with you and seem a little more heartbreaking. Charlie notes that there are not many players on the team with a college degree, and Drew explains that’s due to the recruiting of young baseball players. Drew asks Charlie how he graduated so quickly as a Junior College transfer, and Charlie talks about breaking his foot, leaving the team & enrolling in fall semester in Atlanta to knock out the rest of his classes.
