The Drive with Chad Brown & DMac LIVE in studio! The Broncos wrap up their final day of veteran minicamp, and DMac & Chad take some calls on if Von Miller & Co. are flying under the radar this year. Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post tells DMac & Chad his favorite person is quickly becoming Bud Black, and gives the guys an update on the Rockies catcher position. Also, C.J. Anderson joins the show to talk about the Broncos backfield & what he’s doing at Chick-fil-A in Greenwood Village tonight.
DMac can’t believe Paxton Lynch has not gotten with his Broncos receivers on a offseason camp for the skill-position players, and Chad says it’s much too late for that now. The guys debate the importance of training & conditioning in the offseason, and laugh about the players with performance & weight clauses in their contracts. Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post tells DMac & Chad his favorite person is quickly becoming Bud Black, and gives the guys an update on the Rockies catcher position, as Tony Wolters may be getting some help soon in Tom Murphy. Listen to the interview HERE!
C.J. Anderson joins the show to tell DMac & Chad he learned a lot about himself through his most recent injury, and says he won’t make the mistakes he made in the past. C.J. is trying to get back to the body shape he had in ’14, and has learned when to keep going & when he can push it. DMac asks C.J. if the group & scheme are good for the O-Line, and Anderson notes the difficulty of bringing in the correct personnel to match the scheme. Also, C.J. says as an NFL running back, you must prepare for everything, because you never know what can happen. Catch C.J. at Chick-fil-A in Greenwood Village tonight serving up milkshakes. Listen to the interview HERE!
Chad tells DMac you want to know what you’re doing when you break the huddle on trick plays, and what to do with players that are consistently unreliable in the memory department. The guys agree the Broncos coaching staff turnover was the most significant part of the offseason, and DMac wonders why Vance Joseph & Co. are down on new technology use in the NFL. Also, Chad tells DMac Trevor Siemian must fail miserably for Paxton to get his chance in ’17, and Big Sexy asks the guys Who Ya Got between Floyd Mayweather & Conor McGregor on August 26th.
