Pete Maina joins the show to talk early-season pike. Active lures & jerk baits are highlighted, and Pete mentions some things you can do to trigger strikes with fast-moving lures. Some sight-fishing is required, and sometimes a cold front can mean smaller fish. Pete prefers bait-casting, and talks about the need for better hooks when dealing with baits fish can sink their teeth into. Also, Pete says be aware of the tackle you’re using.
