Aquatic Biologist Paul Winkle joins the show to talk about walleye spawning and gives Terry an update on fishing in the metro area. An update on Pueblo, Chatfield, and Cherry Creek. Paul says an incredible fishery doesn’t happen by accident, and walleye are not native to Colorado. Aggressive males head into shallow areas sooner than females, and Paul mentions the regulations on fishing near gillnets set up along the dams. Terry asks the reason for the 18″ limit at places like Chatfield, and Paul talks about how they don’t miss collection of eggs.
