Walleye fishing pro Robert Blosser joins the show to talk about the most exciting thing when it comes to pre-spawn fishing. There are a variety of techniques to try out when the fishing is easier, and Robert says spring time is all about water temperature. The fish are still lethargic, so Robert notes how slow the presentation must be due to the fish being force-fed. Robert mentions his variety of hair-jigs and plastics being used, and says the advancements in plastics have made them better than live bait in some aspects. Shallow water warms quickly, and deeper channels carry the males & numbers. The best spots to fish, including the 2-6 foot flats with deep water around them and the importance of tuning your bait properly. Also, the best time for a bait change and the starter bait Robert uses for crank-baits.
