A great day of practice earlier today for the Broncos Quarterbacks sets up a fun show for The Drive and Big Al & DMac. Trevor Siemian was back on the field throwing as we hear from Cecil Lammey as we continue our preview of Saturday’s game against the Rams. We are also joined by Earl Boykins and Chad Brown. Chad returns for the first time this summer as he has been in Tennessee doing his Coaching internship with the Titans.
The Drive with Big Al and DMac gets going with the fellas talking about how practice looked for the Broncos out at the UC Health Training Center as starting Quarterback Trevor Siemian was back on the field today throwing after missing yesterday to rest his shoulder. Alfred says all three of the Broncos’ Quarterbacks looked good and the teams should be set with heading into Saturday’s game against the Rams.
The Big Three at 3:30 brings in Earl Boykins and brings up the Chargers and Joey Bosa, whom continue to play the contract shuffle as the Chargers have pulled their offer to Bosa, the quality of play in the preseason in the NFL and the importance of it. The Patriots traded their Center Matt Stork, or at least that what we thought, he was actually traded to the Redskins and is Melo the best Men Basketball Olympian ever?
The hour ends with Earl and the fellas talking about Mark Sanchez and him clarifying his “Squandered an opportunity” comment he made. Alfred points out you never hear any of the “greats” come out after a bad performance and talk bad about themselves.
Football at Four underway as we hear comments made by Trevor Siemian post-practice earlier this afternoon. We also hear from Mark Sanchez and Paxton Lynch looking forward to the Rams as Siemian has been confirmed as the starter for Saturday night’s game. DeMarcus Ware was back on the practice field as it was good to see #94 back on the field.
This upcoming game against the Rams for the Broncos will be the first of two games in a row that Big Al will be the Color Analyst. We get a little insight as to some of the research Al has done to get himself ready, as well as what he’s gearing up for when it comes to his production meetings tomorrow.
Our Broncos Insider Cecil Lammey joins the show to give us some info on this Los Angeles Rams team as we’re expecting quite the challenge to come to town on Saturday night, from Case Keenum and Todd Gurley to Aaron Donald and Roger Saffold. Jared Goff is the man of the future for the Rams, Keenum has the reins right now. Hear our conversation with Cecil HERE!
The second hour wraps up with the fellas talking about Ryan Lochte’s newest opportunity as Dancing with the Stars has cast him for season 23.
The third and final hour underway with Chad Brown returning to the airwaves after spending the summer in Tennessee with the Titans as a Coaching intern. Chad breaks down his time in Tennessee, where he got to spend a full month working under Defensive Coordinator, Dick LeBeau. He also gives up the details on how different things were in Seattle compared to how things are run in Tennessee.
Trending up, trending down… it’s the Closing Bell and it’s ringing on the Broncos Quarterback position and Joey Bosa as trending up. Trending down is David Anderson on Tim Tebow and College Football preseason polls.
The show ends with the question, which player is “more likely” to be released this offseason from the Broncos’ roster… Ronnie Hillman or Mark Sanchez? The emotional side of football has to be kept in check, you can’t wear your feelings on your sleeve as a professional… and it looked a lot like Mark Sanchez had his feelings on his sleeve after this decision to start Siemian was made.
