Aug 17, 2016, 7:57 AM | Updated: 9:09 am

Schlereth & Evans – 8/17/16 – Mike is live from UC Health Training Center joined by Mark from ESPN HQ ready to preview the San Fransisco 49ers coming to town to practice with the Broncos. Who will shine and who will struggle in the joint practices? Which QB will run away with the competition? Will the defense continue it’s rein of dominance? The guys are joined by Cecil Lammey, Troy Renk, and Drew Goodman to get the latest insight on the Broncos and Rockies respectively.

LISTEN TO HOUR ONE HERE!

The guys open the show reacting to Jerry Jones getting the nod over Pat Bowlen in the Hall of Fame race. The conversation then shifts to the QB battle and the guys discuss whether Trevor Siemian now has his chance to win the job over Mark Sanchez. The hot topics of the Morning Brew are Demarcus Ware trying to make his return to action, Bruce Arians spending the night in a hospital with stomach problems, the Rockies getting the win over the Nationals, and team USA Basketball squeaking out wins. The guys close the first hour of the show with Stink sharing some of his rookie stories as the Broncos gave their rookies some nice haircuts last night.

LISTEN TO HOUR TWO HERE!

The second hour opens with Stink’s Clear the Air segment where he rips into the NFL Hall of Fame sup-committee for nominating Jerry Jones instead of Pat Bowlen for the contributor nomination. Listen to Stink’s rant HERE! After the rant the fellas are joined by Fan Broncos Insider Cecil Lammey to get the latest insight at Champ Camp. They ask him about the QB battle, go over the QB leader-board, and get his thoughts on what Siemian needs to do to steal the job from Sanchez. Four Down Territory features the latest update from Champ Camp, Marcell Dareus being suspended from Buffalo, Bruce Arians being hospitalized, and a Rams player who doesn’t believe in dinosaurs. The guys are joined by Broncos Insider Troy Renck to shed some light on why Jerry Jones got the nomination over Pat Bowlen by the Hall of Fame subcommittee. They ask Troy why the sub-committee will not share their reasoning behind their selection and how this process could be improved.

LISTEN TO HOUR THREE HERE!

To kick off the third hour of the show the gents are joined by ESPN’s Jim Trotter to get his perspective on the Hall of Fame sub-committee failing to nominate Pat Bowlen. They ask him his thoughts on the decision, and hear him make his case for why Terrell Davis deserves to be in the Hall of Fame as well. TV voice of the Rockies Drew Goodman joins the show to share some insight on the Rox. They ask him if the club still has another winning run left in them or if their season is over, if he sees them calling up one of their young pitching prospects, and ask him for a couple of Broncos takes as well. The guys close out the hour getting ready for the 49ers and Broncos to square off in the first joint practice between the two teams by discussing how these practices are often even more valuable than the actual preseason games the two teams will play on Saturday.
