The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Adam Schefter admits he thought this game for Denver would be a walk in the park, and sometimes teams like the Giants dig deep to come up with a performance to hang their hat on all season. Derek Wolfe joins the show to talk about his disappointment in the locker room after the game, what the problem was with executing, and why Denver was all over the place on Sunday night. Troy Renck of Denver 7 joins the show to say the Broncos red-zone woes are curable, but the playoff hunt starts right now for Denver.
Big Al addresses the advantages & disadvantages the Broncos had against the NY Giants. We hear from Vance Joseph on all the Broncos injuries following their Sunday night battle, and Big Al is tired of saying ‘I told you so.’ Adam Schefter admits he thought this game for Denver would be a walk in the park, and sometimes teams like the Giants dig deep to come up with a performance to hang their hat on all season. DMac asks Schefter about Trevor Siemian’s mild shoulder sprain & if he will be able to play through it, and Schefter says Aaron Rodgers injury changes the entire landscape in the NFC. Listen to the interview HERE! In the Big 3 @ 3:30, the guys talk about Justin Turner’s walk-off bomb against the Cubs, Colin Kaepernick’s grievance against the NFL for collusion, and Aaron Rodgers’ broken collarbone. Derek Wolfe joins the show to talk about his disappointment in the locker room after the game, what the problem was with executing, and why Denver was all over the place on Sunday night. Wolfe tells Al what makes his job so difficult, taking on a tackle & a tight end, and says he wishes they could have this game back. Listen to the interview HERE!
The guys talk about Trevor Siemian’s timing with his star receivers, and Big Al says every once in a while Trevor will make HOF throws, like the one to Heuerman. Al & DMac debate if paying Trevor Siemian ten million per year is a good decision knowing what we know now, and Big Al says don’t be that guy who yanks Siemian & goes with Brock without doing the research & just to shake things up. We hear from Brandon McManus on his bad day in the kicking game, and DMac tries to decide if Trevor Siemian is better than Brock Osweiler, even if he’s not one hundred percent healthy. Troy Renck of Denver 7 joins the show to say the Broncos red-zone woes are curable, but the playoff hunt starts right now for Denver. The Broncos schedule becomes daunting over the next few weeks, but DMac notes that maybe the evidence doesn’t mean anything. Troy says this will happen to Denver when opposing teams take away their star players, and giving away a game at home is unacceptable considering the tougher matchups to come. Listen to the interview HERE!
Big Al says we are all in this together, and the media needs to do better in their research & preparation. The guys talk about the effort from Denver’s backup receivers, and decide if the Broncos are deep enough to withstand a string of injuries at the WR position. DMac reviews the King Soopers Fan Football Pick ‘Em and the guys desperately try to win by picking the Indianapolis Colts tonight on Monday Night Football against the Titans.
