Watch: Peyton Manning’s befuddled gesticulations as Broncos game ends

Sep 12, 2022, 10:26 PM

The talk of social media on Monday night is the ending of the Denver Broncos’ opening game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Russell Wilson was just traded for and paid a lot, but first-year head coach Nathaniel Hackett went with another option on fourth and five than his new star quarterback. Not only did Hackett opt for a 64-yard field goal, a would be the second-longest in NFL history, the team let the clock run down.

Former star Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was on his Manningcast during the game and did not agree with his old team’s decision. Manning was motioning for a timeout over and over before eventually going for a surrender cobra.

The kick by Brandon McManus missed, and the Broncos lost 17-16. Analytics showed the Broncos had a slightly better chance to win the game with a field goal attempt, though McManus has only made one kick from that far out in his career.
