Guest: Johanna Spille Executive Director Covered Colorado is a boots on the ground working with trafficking survivors.  Trafficking is a significant problem in the US, but it's also here in Colorado and it generates about $99 billion annually.  Covered Colorado’s mission focuses on their healing and their self-sufficiency of victims who have been impacted by sex trafficking.  Covered Colorado has a couple people they are helping that were sold by a family member during COVID to help them pay for rent.  The biggest thing to look for is watching for that controlling behavior.  Covered Colorado has a residential safe house program for women 18.  They provide also provide medical care, counseling, help with practical life skills, offer career coaching as well to make sure these survivors have everything they need to be successful.    coveredcolorado.org
