Guest: Jill Shenkel Henwood Executive Director The Nathan Yip Foundation gives grants to rural Colorado teachers. The grants help teachers in rural Colorado create and implement classroom projects that will have a positive impact on students and their classrooms. The grant applications open for the fall on September 13th. The grants are up to $2,000 to help fund a project they would like to do for their students. On September 22nd, The Nathan Yip Foundation is hosting an event called Give Where You Live: Support Teacher Grants in Rural Colorado fundraising drive. Teachers and students will be sharing the work that is being done through Nathan Yip Foundation Grants - and allowing attendees to test out some of the things students are learning, from robotics to wildland firefighting. www.nathanyipfoundation
