Mile High Magazine 07/11/2021 Wild Animal Sanctuary

Guest: Pat Craig Executive Director     Located in Keenesburg, they have just around 8,000 acres and they save wild animals such as lions, tigers, and bears.  They started over 40 years ago when he found there was a surplus of these animals in the zoos and then they were euthanized.  They are now the largest carnivore sanctuary in the world with over 600 animals in their care.  Most of the animals at the sanctuary have never lived in the wild, animals in their care have large areas to roam and resemble more of what it would be like to live in the wild.     http://WildAnimalSanctuary.org
