Mile High Magazine 05/07/2023 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

Guest: Marcie Miller Coordinator Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is considered one of America's greatest days of giving! On the second Saturday of every May, letter carriers all over the country collect non-perishable food items while making their rounds delivering and picking up mail and packages.  By mid-May most food banks supplies get depleted but are faced with an increase in need.  On May 13th Postal Workers will collect non-perishable food left in boxes by your mail box and they get distributed to local food pantries.  Last year in Colorado, letter carriers collected over 906,000 pounds of food.        NALC.ORG
