Guest: Vanessa Thurk Executive Director Friends of the Front Range Wildlife Refuges became a non-profit in 2007, Friends is a national group that support public lands such as Wildlife Refuges. Friends of the Front Range Wildlife Refuges provides a space and a habitat for protected and endangered animals here in Colorado. Some of the animals they help are the American bison, black-footed ferrets, mule deer, even eagles. Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge and Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge are open for the public to come in and try and catch a glimpse of these animals. Coming up in September, they have their Harvest Moon Appreciation Dinner, it will be a celebration of the staff and volunteers and also for a way for the supporters to see the work that is being done. https://ffrwr.org/
