Mile High Magazine 09/01/2024 RexRun for PAWSitivity

Guest: Deputy John Gray Rex was the first dog in the program, and he is John’s dog.  When the handler gets their dog at 8 weeks, the handler is one that trains the dog.  Getting the dog a young age helps to build the bond between them and the handler. These dogs serve as therapy dogs in schools and four of the dogs are trained to sniff out guns and explosives and another one of the dogs can sniff out electronics.  The RexRun is a 5k trail run/walk that is a family event.  The event is an opportunity to come out and see the dogs in action.  There will also be an auction and 100% of the proceeds goes to the dogs.  The run is on September 7that the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds.  https://rexrun.com/home
