Mile High Magazine 08/25/2024 A Precious Child

Guest: Courtney Wickberg Chief Communications Officer A Precious Child provides opportunities and resources to children and families in need.  A Precious Child has store floor where families can shop free of charge and get the items that they need for their families so that their kids can go to school feeling prepared and confident and that the parents can get clothing for themselves so that they feel confident as well.  They also help with sporting equipment or instruments ad well as help cover the cost.  A Precious Child works with agency partners and schools to donate over 12,000 backpacks with the supplies they will need to start the school year.  A Precious Child is having their 16th annual gala to help raise money on September 7th.  Coming up on September 1st is the GiveSports Drive, people can drop off sporting equipment in the parking lot of Ball Arena.  Starting November 11th, they will start collecting gifts so the kids can have something for the holidays.  They will also be looking for donations of wrapping paper.       apreciouschild.org
