Guest: Dr. Sujatha Nallapareddy Medical Oncology and Hematology March is colorectal cancer awareness month.  This is the third most common cancer among men and women and the second leading cancer death in men and women in the United States.  The common age of diagnosis is 58-60 but now we are seeing younger people being diagnosed (younger than 50).  20% of those diagnosed are hereditary; the other risk factors are age, obesity, inactivity, diets high in red meats and processed foods, smoking, drinking and diabetes.  Common symptoms to not ignore are blood in the stool, pain the rectum area, constipation followed by diarrhea and feeling of fullness after having a bowl movement.           https://www.rockymountaincancercenters.com/
