Unreal buzzer-beater from Nikola Jokic helps Nuggets escape Magic

Maybe the NBA should just give Nuggets center Nikola Jokic his third straight MVP trophy.
Jokic’s buzzer-beater with .2 seconds left against the Magic on Sunday night bailed Denver out, as they escaped with a 119-116 win. The Nuggets were up 69-54 at halftime, before two sloppy quarters made the game way closer than it should have been. No worries, as the best player on the planet saved the day.

Jokic finished with yet another triple-double, his 12th of the season. The Nuggets have won 13 straight games at Ball Arena, and 16 of their last 19 overall. They’re currently on a six-game winning streak. Denver leads Memphis by a half-game for the No. 1 spot in the Western Conference, sporting a 30-13 record.
This team looks poised to potentially bring home its first NBA title in franchise history. The Nuggets have depth like they’ve never before possessed, and of course Jokic, the league’s most versatile and dangerous player.
He was the hero (again) on Sunday night, helping Denver escape and stacking yet another win.
