ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — It will be at least one more week before wide receiver Courtland Sutton returns from a hamstring injury.

Sutton was one of three players ruled out for Sunday, along with linebacker Dakota Allen and tight end/fullback Andrew Beck. All three have hamstring injuries. Allen and Beck succumbed to hamstring injuries at Carolina on Nov. 27. Sutton suffered his injury in the first half last week at Baltimore.

Sutton will become the 11th different player to miss at least one game due to a hamstring injury this season.

The list, including players already ruled out for Sunday:

  • LB Dakota Allen (2 games missed)
  • CB Essang Bassey (2 games missed)
  • TE Andrew Beck (4 games missed)
  • WR Tyrie Cleveland (3 games missed)
  • Edge rusher Jonathon Cooper (4 games missed)
  • TE Greg Dulcich (5 games missed)
  • WR KJ Hamler (5 games missed)
  • RG Quinn Meinerz (4 games missed)
  • CB Darius Phillips (4 games missed)
  • WR Courtland Sutton (1 game missed)
  • QB Russell Wilson (1 game missed)

That will be a combined 35 man-games missed by 11 players due to hamstring injuries.

Allen was seen working out on the northwest corner of the practice field with Justin Strnad, Randy Gregory and Chase Edmonds. Gregory and Edmonds remain on injured reserve.

Strnad is questionable with a knee injury; he did not practice Friday and saw limited work Thursday.

ALSO QUESTIONABLE FOR SUNDAY are left guard Dalton Risner and defensive lineman D.J. Jones. Both saw limited work Friday. Risner did not practice Wednesday or Thursday due to shoulder and back issues.

Risner is the only Broncos offensive lineman to start all 12 games so far this season. Hackett declined to divulge the contingency plan if Risner cannot start.

“Working through that right now and making sure that we get the best five out there that give us the best chance to win.”

Jones sat out Thursday with a shoulder injury. He had a full practice workload Wednesday.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE, slot cornerback K’Waun Williams saw a full practice workload Friday. He will return after missing the last three games.

“Just today, he had an awesome play on the ball. Love watching him out there,” Hackett said.

The Broncos listed kicker Brandon McManus with a full practice workload Friday. He suffered a quadriceps injury last week but kicked through it. Hackett said evaluating McManus’ range for Sunday is “something we’re working through.”
