Bradley Chubb wins Smashburger’s “Smashed It” Play of the Week

Bradley Chubb earned this week’s Smashburger “Smashed It” Play of the Week for his clutch sack against the 49ers on Sunday night at Empower Field at Mile High.
The Broncos were leading San Francisco 11-10 in the late moments of the fourth quarter. Niners QB Jimmy Garoppolo dropped back to pass, but Chubb came of the edge and chased after Garoppolo. He wasn’t going to let him escape, as Chubb brought him to the ground and made San Francisco’s task of trying to get a game-winning field goal that much more difficult.
The very next play, the Broncos defense forced a fumble and was then able to kneel out the clock to secure the victory. Denver is now 2-1 on the season, and tied with the Kansas City Chiefs atop the AFC West. KC lost to Indianapolis on Sunday, marking their first defeat of the season.
