Wynton Bernard wins Smashburger’s “Smashed It” Play of the Week

Wynton Bernard earned this week’s Smashburger “Smashed It” Play of the Week for his first major league hit against Arizona on Friday night at Coors Field.
The Rockies and Diamondbacks were tied 3-3 in the seventh inning when Bernard came to the plate in his MLB debut.
Bernard, a journeyman minor leaguer who was a surprise call up by the team and made headlines for his great reaction with his mom to the news, chopped a ball to third base. He flew up the line and was mistakingly called out at first, but a replay review overturned the call. Bernard went on to steal a base and score a run the Rockies won the game 5-3.
