Broncos shouldn’t worry about offense or defense with head coach hire

The Broncos head coaching search continues. And it appears Dan Quinn, Nathaniel Hackett and Kevin O’Connell are the three finalists for the job.
There’s a division among Broncos Country about whether the next head coach needs to be “offensive minded” or not. In the end, however, the coach’s background should not matter.
Whether the Broncos next head coach is an “offensive” minded guy or a “defensive” minded guy is a moot point. This is because the next Broncos head coach should not be calling plays.
They need a team manager and leader, not someone buried in a play sheet. Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan are two of the best offensive-minded guys in the league; they always seem to have really good defenses, as well.
Sean McDermott has a defensive background, but has a great offense. Dan Quinn always seemed to have a good offense in Atlanta.
The background of the next head coach is really not that important. What matters is if they’re the right guy.
I understand Broncos Country leaning towards offense because the NFL is an offensive-driven league and they want the next hot-shot offensive genius, but don’t be so invested in that side of the ball. What really is matters is whether or not the new head coach has a vision for this team and hire the right coordinators to fulfill that vision.
