More Broncos headed to COVID list ahead of Chargers game

Dec 31, 2021, 12:29 PM

With their playoff hopes, and perhaps Vic Fangio’s job as head coach, on the line Sunday, the Denver Broncos will reportedly be short-handed against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Per 9News Broncos Insider Mike Klis, the Broncos will be without wide receiver Jerry Jeudy and linebacker Bradley Chubb in Week 17 after both were placed on the Reserve/COVID list on Friday.

The news comes after the Broncos placed several key players on the Reserve/COVID list over the past few days, including tackles Calvin Anderson and Bobby Massie, linebacker Stephen Weatherly, cornerback Bryce Callahan, safety Caden Sterns, defensive lineman Mike Purcell and wide receiver Tim Patrick.

Denver, however, will have their starting center this week, as Lloyd Cushenberry III was activated from the Reserve/COVID list on Wednesday after missing Week 16 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Keep tuned to 104.3 The Fan and check DenverFan.com for updates on who has been placed on or activated from the Reserve/COVID list for the Broncos.
